To Be A Kid Again
Not
having even one care
Only
having toys to share
Thinking
everything in life is fair
Oh,
to be a kid again.
Not
knowing things could go wrong
Only
singing a happy song
Thinking
my face could never grow long
Oh,
to be a kid again.
Not
caring what clothes to wear
Not
worrying about my hair
Thinking
that friends would always be there
Oh,
to be a kid again.
Not
caring about things others say
Only
worrying about today
Not
having tough things for which to pray
Oh,
to be a kid again.
Not
worrying about time
Thinking
the best story was a Dr. Seuss rhyme
Not
having major mountains to climb
Oh,
to be a kid again.
Loving
everyone in sight
Not
knowing the world is really a fright
Looking
mostly on the side that is bright
Oh,
to be a kid again.
If
only we would live like little kids do;
Knowing
that love will always get us through
All
of the things that we have to do.
Wouldn't
life be better if everyone was a kid again?
