It Takes You

I'm tired of this life I lead

I'm getting nowhere.

My legs are moving and I feel the breeze

But, I'm getting nowhere.

The scenery is changing

But, I'm getting nowhere.

I see you in the distance

I'm not any closer.

I reach out to touch you

But, I'm not any closer.

I run faster and faster

But, I'm not any closer.

I stop and I pray

I've moved.

I whisper your name

And, I've moved.

I listen to your words

And, I've moved.

You pull me closer

You've moved me.

You call out my name

And, You've moved me.

You show me the way

And, You've moved me.

The last day has come

We are together.

I've left everything else behind

And, We are together.

It's just You and me now

And, We are together.
