On Thin Ice
Everywhere
I look
All
the people that I see,
Are
walking on thin ice
Not
knowing how to be.
If
they say what's on their mind
And
stand up for what's right,
They
may end up alone
With
no friends in sight.
They
are friends with shallow people
Who
only care about themselves.
They
can't show how they really feel
So
their emotions end up unused on a shelf.
They
keep wishing on a star
And
hoping they will see,
That
soon they'll have the courage
To
stand up and break free.
If
they go against the crowd
Nothing
will ever be the same.
But
they are all too scared to do it,
So
they continue to play the game.
And
now, everywhere I look
All
the people that I see
Are
walking on thin ice
Waiting
to break free.
